The Canada-Slovakia Business Forum, held on January 31, 2024, in Toronto and organized by The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ottawa in collaboration with the Toronto Region Board of Trade and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) aimed to foster economic collaboration between the two nations.

In a gesture of warm hospitality, Canada recently welcomed the President of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Zuzana Čaputová, in Ottawa on her official state visit accompanied by a delegation of Slovakian entrepreneurs from the healthcare, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and green technologies fields. As part of Canada’s official state visit, Her Excellency inaugurated the Canada-Slovakia Business Forum in Toronto.

The Canada-Slovakia Business Forum provided a unique platform for entrepreneurs and business leaders to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and explore potential business opportunities between the two countries.

The agenda featured presentations by various companies and SARIO, shedding light on the diverse business landscape in Slovakia. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in discussions on business opportunities in Slovakia, gaining valuable insights into the investment climate and potential collaborations. Following the formal sessions, the forum transitioned into an informal B2B meeting session, facilitating direct interactions between participants and opening avenues for future collaborations.

Among the distinguished Slovakian companies participating in the forum was Touch4IT an innovation house focused on product design and software engineering, represented by co-founder Michael Korman. As part of the business mission in Canada and the US, Touch4IT is representing the Slovak IT sector to seek new business opportunities and establish new cooperation that is beneficial for Slovakia. This one-stop shop studio, with more than 250 finished projects in 24 countries, is ready to elevate businesses with its deep expertise in advanced technologies, including AR/VR, AI, Business Intelligence, and customized software solutions.
