Come by Home Hardware’s Here’s How Learning Centre for a lesson on DIYs, where experts such as Jordan Spear and Chris Palmer are back for the third year in a row to guide you along the way – from fixing holes in walls to building your own furniture.
Reno tips and advice to save you money and time
When a renovation quote seems too cheap to be true, it probably is. And it’s probably going to end up costing you more money and time in the future to fix. This year’s show will teach you how to choose the perfect contractor—what signs to look for, what questions you should ask, and why opting for quality over quantity when it comes to home renos (especially in the kitchen) is key. This doesn’t mean you need to over-budget or over-spend, the experts at the show have tips on how you can save money while getting the job done right.
Design advice for your home with free one on-one-consultations
Design advice can be expensive. At the 2019 GTA Home & Reno Show you’ll be able to sit down with some of the city’s top design experts for free one-on-one consultations to spruce up your home for spring and let you know what the trends are in 2019. Need some inspiration? The Design Intervention Centre will have tons to display to give you some bright ideas for that room you’ve been meaning to update for years now.
Children learn to garden
Not only will you be given some great takeaways from this year’s show, but your kids will as well. Make It & Take It will teach your kids some basics when it comes to gardening, and yes, they can bring home their adorable little planters. There will also be opportunities for your children to learn a couple DIY projects—visit the DIY Centre to chat with expert Jordan Spear for some great ideas on how to get kids involved in your home renovation projects.
The best home products of 2019
This year there are experts bringing the best products of 2019 from new technology to small appliances to top up your kitchen collection. Design expert Rebecca Hay will be at the show with the best of the best, as always, showing off what’s hot this year in kitchen backsplashes, couch fabrics, flooring and more.
