Toronto, April 2, 2020: Peloton continues to make it even easier for more people to experience its immersive, instructor-led workouts that can be done with equipment or none at all. Beginning today, the Peloton App can be downloaded directly through Android TV, opening the interactive fitness platform to more than 85 million consumers who already use Android TV-enabled devices.
What is Android TV?
Android TV is a version of Google’s Android mobile operating system that comes pre-installed on select TV models from Sony, Philips, Sharp and many other popular TV manufacturers and Android-enabled cable boxes. In fact, the made-for-TV operating system is currently the default on TVs from more than 150 manufacturers. Now, Peloton’s best-in-class fitness content can be experienced on even more types of TVs, without the need for an external streaming device, by simply downloading the app directly to the TV, from the Google Play store.
Turn Living Rooms into Fitness Studios
The Peloton App features an extensive library of strength, yoga, meditation, stretching and bootcamp workouts, in addition to Peloton’s revolutionary cycling and running content. Through Android TV, along with Peloton’s other TV platforms, Peloton Members can workout with others in their household, follow instructors’ moves with better form and stay focused on their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing right from the comfort of home. The Peloton App is also currently available for an extended 90-day free trial until April 30.
