Popular Piri Piri Chicken restaurant opens in Stoney Creek
Stoney Creek, ON (October, 2020) – Residents and visitors to Stoney Creek can say goodbye to being hangry and say hello to the newest restaurant in town, Hangry Chicken.
Offering a new twist on traditional Portuguese Piri Piri cuisine, Hangry Chicken is a quick-style restaurant with big taste. HangryChicken’s locally and ethically sourced is prepared fresh, with menu items that include the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (a crowd favourite), Piri Piri Poutine — a chicken-less way to enjoy the Piri Piri flavour — and whole rotisserie chickens to feed the whole family.
“We are thrilled to join the Stoney Creek community,” says David White, Director of Operations for Hangry Chicken. “Opening a new restaurant during a pandemic can certainly be challenging however, we have been welcomed into the community with open arms and we are committed to providing our customers with the best quality food possible.”
As a way to give back to its new community, Hangry Chicken will be donating the proceeds from their Friends and family event to the Hamilton Food Bank this month which was held before its official grand opening on August 17. This donation follows an earlier donation to Hamilton Food Share from their opening day sales.
“We’re fortunate to be in a position to support the less fortunate in our community,” says White. “This past year as been tough on so many. We’re proud to give back to those who need a little extra help.”
Hangry Chicken is located at 1374 South Service Road West, just off the QEW at the Fifty Road exit.
