The Napa Boys is set to bring delirious chaos to TIFF’s legendary Midnight Madness programme. Co-created by Nick Corirossi and Armen Weitzman, the film is a wild, surrealist alt-comedy spoof packed with absurdist energy and a sprawling ensemble cast.

The film is characterized by its disordered, gag-after-gag rhythm and has been described by TIFF’s Midnight Madness programmer Peter Kuplowsky as “infectiously silly” and “your favourite comedian’s new favourite comedy.” With its Andy Kaufman-esque brand of comedic anarchy, the movie promises to stand out as one of the festival’s most unpredictable and entertaining screenings.

The plot follows Jack Jr., Miles Jr., and their eccentric gang on a final wine-soaked caper triggered by a mysterious entity known only as the “Sommelier.” Along the way, they are joined by comic-fan Puck in an odyssey that explores love, loss, friendship, and the intoxicating lure of viticulture.

The Napa Boys will premiere at TIFF 2025 on Friday, September 12, at 11:59 PM ET, screening at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. Press & Industry screenings are scheduled for September 7 and September 10 at the Scotiabank Theatre. The cast and creative team will also be available for interviews and photo calls, ensuring plenty of festival buzz around this midnight event.
