On May 1, 2025, the Globe and Mail Centre hosted a night of purpose and celebration, as supporters gathered for the 22nd annual Spring for Peace gala 2025 – an event dedicated to advancing restorative justice for youth in Toronto and beyond.

Host Shahaddah Jack, Toronto’s Youth Poet Laureate, guided the evening with energy and heart, and event had Indigenous opening by Grandmother Kim Wheatley. The program featured keynote speaker Michael “Pinball” Clemons and among the speakers were also Peacebuilders founder Eva Marszewski and Alan Malolos, Principal of Alexander Muir/Gladstone Jr. & Sr. Public School. Guests also enjoyed live music from Cody Cuisia, a wine tasting led by sommelier Ben Plisky-Somers, and sets by DJ Tilt. The night was rounded out with gourmet cuisine and a cocktail mixer.

The highlight of the night was the highly anticipated silent auction. Guests placed bids on exclusive items and experiences and bought tickets for the wine raffle, with all proceeds going directly to Peacebuilders’ programs for at-risk youth. From luxury getaways to rare collectibles, the auction offered something for everyone – while raising vital funds.

Every bid helped reach over 500 young people each year with programs that foster healing and hope. By May 2, the event had raised more than $84,000.
