What inspired you to get into the lash industry, and was there a defining moment when you knew this was your passion?

I’ve always been passionate about beauty, and opening a salon has been my ultimate dream. Starting with lashes was the first step toward achieving that. Honestly, there were moments when I thought about giving up, especially during the early days of my business. But my friends and family were my biggest cheerleaders. They helped spread the word, handed out my business cards, and even volunteered as models for the new techniques I wanted to try. Their belief in me kept me going. For me, it’s all about living, loving, and embracing beauty!

What’s your go-to advice for someone trying lashes for the first time, and are there any myths about lash extensions that you often debunk for new clients?

For anyone new to lashes, I always recommend starting with a lash lift and tint. It’s a great way to enhance your natural lashes and figure out what style suits you best. Many clients begin with volume lashes but eventually switch to lifts and tints because they fall in love with their natural look.

As for myths, there are a couple I hear all the time:

  • Myth #1: “Eyelash extensions damage natural lashes.” That’s not true. When applied correctly by a skilled professional, they don’t harm your natural lashes at all.
  • Myth #2: “Lash extensions look fake and unnatural.” This is another misconception. With today’s techniques, extensions can look as natural or dramatic as you want. The customization options are endless, and we always tailor them to complement your natural eye shape and style preferences.

Can you share a memorable story about a client who had a unique or surprising reaction to their lashes?

One client stands out in my memory. She came in and said she wanted a dramatic look but didn’t believe her lashes were thick or long enough to achieve it. I reassured her that we could make it work, and when she saw the final result, her reaction was unforgettable. She was so thrilled that she couldn’t stop smiling, and I recorded her reaction on video. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do—it’s about making people feel confident and beautiful.

What are some trends you see emerging in the lash industry, and how do you keep up with new styles or techniques?

The lash industry is brimming with creativity and evolving constantly. Some of the current trends I’ve noticed include wispy lash sets, colored lashes, spiked designs, and soft, natural sets. I dedicate time to learning and experimenting with new styles and techniques to stay updated. It’s all about adapting to trends and ensuring my clients get the latest and best options.

If you could collaborate with any celebrity or influencer on a lash style, who would it be and why?

Instead of a celebrity, I’d love to collaborate with Luxury Goddess Academy, where I got certified. I’ve kept in touch with the owner, and when I shared my success with her, she was incredibly supportive. She even offered to add a few free courses to my enrollment so I could expand my skill set and provide more services. That kind of encouragement motivates me to push harder toward my goals.

The academy has had a profound impact on me. They provide incredible training and services, and I’ve even taught students at a beauty school myself. In the future, I’d love to expand my business to include teaching and mentoring others, helping them achieve their dreams in the beauty industry.
