Toronto, October 23, 2025 — Porter Airlines marks its 19th anniversary, celebrating nearly two decades of innovation and growth in North American travel. Over the past year, Porter has grown to 4,300 team members, expanded its fleet to 48 Embraer E195-E2 jets (with up to 100 on order), and maintained a total fleet of 77 aircraft, including 29 Dash 8-400s.
The airline added 20 new routes and seven new destinations, while for the first time expanding beyond Canada and the U.S. to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. Porter also strengthened its presence in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, becoming the only airline with scheduled flights from Toronto Pearson, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, and Hamilton.

Porter pioneered elevated economy travel with no middle seats, complimentary snacks, and free beer and wine, earning recognition from SkyTrax, APEX, USA Today, and others. CEO Michael Deluce praised the team’s role in driving the airline’s success, highlighting ongoing growth and innovations in customer experience and partnerships with airlines like Air Transat, American Airlines, and Alaska Airlines.
As Porter heads into its 20th year, it continues to redefine economy travel with style, comfort, and connectivity across North America.
