Niagara-on-the-Lake Most Welcoming Places in Canada and the World:


Toronto –Tourism Niagara Canada is proud to announce that Niagara-on-the-Lake
has been name one of Canada’s most welcoming places according to, one of the world’s leading digital travel platforms. For the seventh annual edition of the awards, 759,845 properties across 219 countries and territories are being given an award, with Niagara region properties making a big impact. Out of the more than 2,200 Canadian properties claiming awards, 20 are in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls.

“We take much pride in knowing that Niagara region and Niagara-on-the-Lake in particular is treasured and revered by Canadians and visitors far and wide,” said Anthony Annunziata, President, Tourism Niagara Canada. “On behalf of all the Niagara Region Guest Review Award winners, it is an honor to have our region receive global recognition and praise for creating memorable travel experiences for visitors. We thank and all guests that reviewed and scored our prized properties so highly.”  The Niagara region is known for its abundance of alternative accommodation options such as charming B&B’s, hotels, motels and inns. That paired with good old-fashioned Canadian hospitality, it’s no wonder
many of its accommodation partners available through have been awarded for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Niagara-on-the-Lake beat other notable Canadian destinations for the top “most welcoming” spot such as Kelowna, Halifax and Quebec City.
