The Match Factory appoints former Netflix manager Marc van den Bosch-Mprah as VP Acquisitions

September 2024- The Match Factory has appointed former Netflix manager Marc van den Bosch-Mprah as VP Acquisitions.

The newly-created role is based in Berlin and van den Bosch-Mprah, effective immediately, will report into Michael Weber, General Manager, to lead The Match Factory’s worldwide acquisition strategy.

Van den Bosch-Mprah was most recently at Netflix, where he spent the last two years as Head of Acquisitions & Co-Production (DACH), spearheading the negotiation of a long-term partnership for Constantin’s theatrical releases in German-speaking Europe, co-producing movies, series and documentaries, including Netflix 1st swiss production “Early Birds.”

With over 15 years of experience in the industry, van den Bosch-Mprah brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position. His commitment to film and television, as well as his expertise in distribution, sales, acquisition, and co-production, along with his keen business acumen and strategic vision, have been valuable in his previous managerial roles at industry leaders like Netflix, RTL, Warner Bros, and Viacom.

The appointment comes as The Match Factory prepares for the fall festivals, where the company will be premiering in Venice Athina Rachel Tsangari’s Harvest, Türker Süer’s Edge of Night and Sanatorium Under The Sign of the Hourglass by Quay Brothers. In Toronto, the company will have a big line-up including the awaited The End by Joshua Oppenheimer and several titles coming from Venice and Cannes.
