Lee Min-ho, Chris Rock, Andrew Scott and More Join TIFF 2026’s In Conversation With… Lineup

The Toronto International Film Festival is bringing some major names in film and television to Toronto for its 2026 In Conversation With… series, including Lee Min-ho, Rachel Morrison, Chris Rock, Andrew Scott and Hudson Williams.

Part of TIFF’s 2026 Festival programming, the series takes audiences beyond movie screenings with live, in-depth conversations exploring the careers, creative processes and experiences of artists appearing at the Festival.

Lee Min-ho Makes Rare North American Onstage Appearance

Global Korean star Lee Min-ho will take part in the series while attending TIFF for the World Premiere of his new film The Assassin(s). The film also stars Yoo Hai-jin and Park Hae-il and is directed by Hur Jin-ho.

Lee has been one of the most recognizable figures in Korean entertainment for nearly two decades. His performances in Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs, City Hunter, The Legend of the Blue Sea and The King: Eternal Monarch helped build his international following.

More recently, he appeared in the Apple TV+ series Pachinko. His TIFF appearance will mark his first North American onstage appearance in more than a decade, with the conversation expected to explore his career and the arrival of The Assassin(s).

Rachel Morrison Returns to TIFF

Academy Award–nominated cinematographer and filmmaker Rachel Morrison is also returning to Toronto for the World Premiere of her second feature, Love of Your Life.

The Amazon MGM Studios romantic drama stars Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Basso and Catherine Keener and is produced by Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson.

Morrison made history as the first woman nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography for Mudbound. Her credits also include Fruitvale Station and Black Panther, while her directorial work includes The Morning Show, The Mandalorian and feature film The Fire Inside. Her TIFF conversation will look at her journey across cinematography and directing, from independent productions to major Hollywood projects.

Chris Rock Brings Misty Green to Toronto

Chris Rock will join TIFF’s In Conversation With… series as he presents the World Premiere of his latest film, Misty Green.

The Emmy and Grammy Award–winning comedian, actor, writer, producer and director has built a career spanning stand-up comedy, television and filmmaking. After breaking through on Saturday Night Live in the early 1990s, Rock became one of the most prominent names in stand-up comedy. His film work has included the documentary Good Hair and Top Five, which he directed.

His appearance at TIFF will explore his career both in front of and behind the camera as he returns to the Festival with Misty Green.

Andrew Scott Takes the Stage

Andrew Scott will appear at TIFF 2026 in connection with his new film Elsinore, in which he stars and serves as a producer. Scott plays actor Ian Charleson, whose final years included an acclaimed performance of Hamlet at London’s National Theatre while living with AIDS.

The actor has built a wide-ranging career that includes his memorable performances as Moriarty in Sherlock and the priest in Fleabag, alongside acclaimed roles in All of Us Strangers and Netflix’s Ripley. The TIFF conversation is expected to explore Scott’s career and his performance in Elsinore.

Hudson Williams Joins Making Waves With…

Canadian actor Hudson Williams will also participate in TIFF programming through Making Waves With…, part of TIFF Next Wave initiatives focused on creators and audiences under 25. Born and raised in British Columbia, Williams had his major breakthrough playing Shane Hollander in the series Heated Rivalry, adapted from Rachel Reid’s bestselling novels.

At TIFF, Williams will discuss his work in Heated Rivalry, the Crave Original series YAGA and upcoming independent feature Apparatus, along with the creative influences and collaborations that have shaped his career.

When Is TIFF 2026?

The Toronto International Film Festival runs September 10–20, 2026. Tickets for In Conversation With… programming will become available to TIFF Members by membership level beginning August 21, while single tickets go on sale to the public on August 31.

With major international stars, filmmakers and emerging Canadian talent joining this year’s conversations, the series offers TIFF audiences another way to hear directly from some of the artists behind the Festival’s most anticipated films and performances.
