What is Evol Music?
I go by the stage name Evol music, rather than using my real name when promoting myself. By keeping my real identity concealed, I aim to generate a sense of intrigue and mystery.
How did you get into the music industry?
I have been a musician my entire life, focusing on singing and songwriting. In 2014, I began learning guitar and it quickly became a passion of mine. Despite my love for music, I faced a difficult decision when I moved to Canada since I didn’t know anyone in the industry. However, I slowly began to network by participating in open mic nights and meeting others in the music scene.
My goal is to continue growing and improving as an artist, exploring a variety of musical genres including jazz, pop, reggae, and classic rock. I draw inspiration from a range of talented musicians such as Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Aion Clarke, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and Jimmy Rosenberg.
Kindly mention if you have any collaborations?
Currently, I have only released one single that I wrote in 2017 and made available to the public in 2020. However, I am excited to announce that I have plans to release new music in late 2023.
What help do you need to take you to the next level?
I have a strong desire to improve my musical abilities and record my music in a professional studio with the guidance of someone who possesses extensive knowledge in the field. To advance to the next level, I believe it is essential to have a mentor who can provide guidance throughout my musical journey.
What kind of expertise work/help people can reach you out for?
Music has been a lifelong pursuit for me, during which time I have developed a strong understanding of intuitive music theory and guitar playing. Additionally, I have a working knowledge of drums and keyboards. I am particularly proud of my songwriting abilities and believe that I excel in this area.
Who are some of your favorite Canadian artists?
Aion Clarke, Jack Lenz, Neil Young, and Justin Bieber are among my favorite Canadian artists.
